WINNIPEG, MB, Nov 02, 2006 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- The Governor in Council has approved a recommendation to appoint Gill O. Shaw to be Chairman of the Board of Directors of Farm Credit Canada, a release from Chuck Strahl, Canada's Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food said Thursday.
The appointment is effective immediately.
"Canada's farm families and rural communities are enriched by the business and financial services of Farm Credit Canada," said Strahl. "I congratulate Mr. Shaw on his appointment and am confident that the knowledge and experience he brings to this position will benefit our agriculture industry here at home and in international markets."
