ROY, DUFF ENTER HOCKEY HALL
Patrick Roy, winner of more games than any goaltender in NHL history, was immortalized among the greats Monday with induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Roy, whose 511 regular-season and 151 playoff wins remain league records, was inducted in his first year of eligibility.
"It was a great career," Roy said prior to Monday's induction ceremony at Toronto.
"It was fun, every minute of it hockey is my passion."
Also inducted in the players' category was Original Six forward Dick Duff.
Calgary Flames co-owner Harley Hotchkiss and the late Herb Brooks were welcomed in the builders' category.
