CANADIAN SOLDIER INJURED IN LANDMINE BLAST
KANDAHAR, AFGHANISTAN - A Canadian soldier is suffering from serious, non-life threatening injuries after stepping on a landmine Thursday in southern Afghanistan.
"This happens quite a lot, it's one of the more dangerous things that soldiers face which is the buried landmines that they so often step on or that their vehicles go over," said CTV's South Asia Bureau Chief Paul Workman from Afghanistan.
The soldier, who asked that his name not be released, was injured while conducting a routine pre-dawn...
