Winnipeg Jan 11-RNI, Jan 11, 2007 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- Winnipeg Commodity Exchange (WCE) grain and oilseed futures closed Thursday's session higher with canola boosted by the strong upward surge in Chicago Board of Trade soy complex futures, brokers said.
The trading session was closed 4 minutes early , at 1:11 PM CT, due to technical difficulties with the electronic trading platform which is operated for the WCE by the Chicago Board Of Trade. Settlement prices were delayed as a result.
Canola saw a moderate trade with many participants sidelined ahead of Friday's US Department of Agriculture reports, traders said. Intermonth spreading enhanced the volumes.
