Container Congestion At Port Of Vanc Hurting Special Crop Sales.

WINNIPEG, MB, Feb 08, 2007 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- The ongoing container congestion at the Port of Vancouver in British Columbia continues to cause problems in exporting pulse and special crops from Canada, according to an official with the Canadian Special Crops Association (CSCA).

"Our members have indicated that there have been lost sales due to the ongoing container congestion problems and that new sales are also being affected," Greg Cherewyk, Director of Market Development for the CSCA said.

No statistics were readily available on the amount of pulse and special crops sales that have been cancelled from Canada, he said.
