CANADA GETS JILTED IN GOLD CUP SEMI-FINAL

Chicago A goal that appeared to tie the score in the

final minute proved to be no goal because of a referee's

offside call.

As far as the Canadian team was concerned, the goal was more legitimate than the call, but despite the protests, the United States won the CONCACAF Gold Cup semi-final 2-1 at Soldier Field last night.

The disallowed goal by Atiba Hutchinson would have given the Canadians a big advantage in extra time because the U.S. team was down to 10 players after Michael Bradley...
