Ridley Updates Ontario BSE Lawsuit.

WINNIPEG, MB, Jun 22, 2007 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- Ridley Inc. (TSX:RCL) learned Friday that the Court of Appeal for Ontario has upheld the January 2006 decision of the Ontario Superior Court that refused early dismissal of the proposed BSE class action lawsuit filed against the company and the Government of Canada by an Ontario dairy farmer.

Ridley is currently reviewing the decision, a release from Ridley said.

The decision only relates to the action in Ontario, and is not a decision on the merits of the claims, Ridley said.. The ruling only allows the proposed representative plaintiff to proceed with his application to the Ontario Superior Court for certification of the lawsuit as a...
