Winnipeg, Jul 05, 2007 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- Winnipeg grain and oilseed futures finished the week ended June 29th mainly higher. Canola rallied in the wake of big gains in the Chicago soy complex futures and on slow farmer selling. However a lack of fresh exports and the improving weather for the crop capped the gains. Western barley futures were mostly higher as increased pricing by maltsters gave support in the new crop. Speculators were also buyers as technical signals point higher. Talk of US corn railed into Alberta being cheaper than local barley and the favourable crop outlook restrained the gains and pressured the Oct contract to marginal losses.
