WINNIPEG, MB, Sep 11, 2007 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- The Canadian dollar was trading at a significantly firmer level versus the US dollar at mid-session on Tuesday. Strong technical signals provided the catalyst needed for the Canadian currency to move beyond the narrow margin it had recently been trading in, market watchers said.
At 11:13 CDT the Canadian dollar was trading at 95.90 US cents or C$1.0427, which compares with an early Tuesday morning quote of 95.79 US cents or C$1.0439, and Monday's North American settlement of 94.99 US cents or C$1.0527.
Gains in global gold and crude oil prices contributed to the strength in the resource-based Canadian dollar, market watchers said....
