WINNIPEG The Canadian dollar was showing some

significant strength Friday morning, setting fresh records

versus its US counterpart as strong domestic jobs data

provided some support.

At 11:47 CDT the Canadian dollar was trading at 106.76 US cents or C$0.9367, which compares with 106.85 US cents (C$0.9356) early in the day, and Thursday's close of 105.12 US cents (C$0.9513). The Canadian currency had climbed as to as high as 107.17 US cents (C$93.31) early Friday morning, ...
