Canadian Dollar And Business Outlook.

WINNIPEG, MB, Dec 17, 2007 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- The Canadian dollar was trading at a firmer level versus the US dollar on Monday morning. Despite US dollar strength, the Canadian currency was able to firm as a result of cross-trading, mainly with the Australian dollar and the euro, market watchers said.

At 10:02 CDT on Monday morning, the Canadian dollar was trading at 99.34 US cents or C$1.0066, up from Friday's close of 98.37 US cents or C$1.0165.

According to market watchers, the Canadian unit continues to receive support from friendly technical signals rather than strong Canadian economic fundamentals.
