Winnipeg, Dec 19, 2007 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- Winnipeg Commodity Exchange (WCE) grain and oilseed futures closed Wednesday's session higher with canola lifted by European commercial demand and strength in Chicago Board of Trade soy complex futures, brokers said.
Canola saw an active trade with the overwhelming majority of the volume continuing to be the rolling of Jan futures into the March contract by commodity funds and commercials.
The total estimated canola volume was 17,748 contracts, down from Tuesday's 28,772 contracts, including an estimated 12,546 contracts involved in the spread trade.
