New Brunswick Farmers Get Funds For Biofuel Projects.

WINNIPEG, MB, Jan 18, 2008 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- The Government of Canada will invest C$861,000 in three projects to help New Brunswick farmers advance opportunities to turn agricultural crops and by-products into renewable fuel and biodegradable plastic and packaging, a release from Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Minister Gerry Ritz's office said.

"The demand for greener products is uncovering new value in agriculture and opening new market opportunities, both in crops and even in what was once considered worthless waste," said Christian Paradis, Secretary of State for Agriculture, on behalf of the Ritz.
