ICE Grain/Oilseed Review: Canola Up On Late Soy Surge.

Winnipeg, Jan 29, 2008 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- RNI ICE Futures Canada (ICE) grain and oilseed futures closed Tuesday's session mixed with canola rallying at the close on the late surge in Chicago Board of Trade soy complex values, brokers said.

Canola saw a heavy trade with the majority of activity comprised of intermonth spreads as commercials and commodity funds rolled their March futures into forward positions.

The canola volume was estimated at 15,071 contracts, up from Monday's 8,758 contracts, including an estimated 10,966 contracts involved in Tuesday's spread trade.
