WINNIPEG, MB, Feb 14, 2008 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- Canadian Pacific Railway was notified by the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference Wednesday that the Memorandum of Settlement reached in December by CP and the Teamsters has now been ratified by the membership.

The Union, which represents Canadian Pacific conductors and locomotive engineers in Canada, confirmed a renewal collective agreement which is 5 years in duration, extending to the end of 2011, a release from CP said.

Daniel J. Shewchuk, President of the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference said the members ratified the new five year contract by a margin of 59%.
