WINNIPEG, MB, Apr 02, 2008 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- The Canadian dollar was stronger Wednesday morning, finding some support from the firm commodity markets.

Concerns about the state of the North American economy were thought to be easing, helping the Canadian dollar show some particular strength against the euro and the yen.

A speech by Bank of Canada Senior Deputy Governor Paul Jenkins did little to move the market as he largely reiterated previous comments. Jenkins indicated that the Bank will likely continue to cut interest rates going forward.
