Canadian Forex/Bond Review: C$ Closes Near Unchanged.

Winnipeg, MB, Apr 01, 2009 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- The Canadian dollar closed near unchanged on Wednesday after trading to both sides of unchanged in a narrow range.

The Canadian dollar was trading at 79.30 US cents or US$1=C$1.2610 near the end of Wednesday?s North American session. This compares with Tuesday?s North American close of 79.28 US cents or US$=C$1.2613.

The Canadian dollar largely ignored movements in the outside equity and commodity markets on Wednesday. North American stock markets were higher on the day, which would normally be supportive for the currency. However, the Canadian dollar is also closely linked to energy prices, and crude oil values were down on the day....
