Panasonic Vision Systems has announced the introduction of a unique digital recording solution based on the DVD-RAM recording format. Unlike many consumer and other DVD based recorders presently available, Panasonic's new LQ-MD800 video recorder provides the capability to record/playback DVD-RAM and DVD-R media in the MPEG-2 format. By employing DVD-RAM cartridge encased media, the Panasonic LQ-MD800 video recorder offers "data secure" recording. The unit meets UL2601-1 and IEC601 electrical standards. Panasonic Security Systems
