MOSCOW, October 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Mechel Steel Group OAO, a Russian metals and mining company, announced today the price range of US$19.00 to US$21.00 per ADS for the proposed initial public offering of its common shares in the form of American Depositary Shares ("ADSs"), each representing three common shares of Mechel. The expected size of the offering is 13,875,691 ADSs, consisting of sales by both Mechel and its core shareholders. The offering price will be determined following a book-building process during the offering period as a result of offers made to the public in the United States and in private placements in other global markets. The anticipated pricing date is October 28, 2004.
