TV Strike Recedes as Strike Threat at the BBC Grows.

LONDON, April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- As the threat of further strike action at ITV recedes, the spectre of strike action at the BBC grows. Following a meeting with the BBC the joint unions Amicus, BECTU and the NUJ plan to ballot their members for strike action over the failure of the BBC to commit to a number of keys demands from the unions to protect the future of the BBC.

Subject to the pressure of strike action on ITV the company have made a revised pay offer on which basis the unions have agreed to suspend further strike action from 5pm today until ITV staff have been consulted over the offer.
