- Bloomberg Eurozone Retail PMI signals falling sales for fourth straight month
Today's Bloomberg Eurozone Retail Purchasing Managers' Index ("PMI"), a monthly survey indicating economic conditions in the Eurozone retail sector one month ahead of government issued figures, indicates that month-on-month sales at Eurozone retailers continued to fall in April.
In April, the Eurozone Retail PMI registered 48.7 and remained below the no-change mark of 50.0 for the fourth month running and for the eighth time in the past nine months. The seasonally adjusted Eurozone Retail PMI signaled a further drop in retail sales across the Eurozone, albeit at a marginally weaker rate than that recorded in March (48.5). Consumers'...
