- Agreement strengthens SingTel's leadership in global IP services
Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel), Asia's leading communications group, and WilTel Communications, a leading provider of customised communications solutions in the United States, announced today that they have entered into a supply-agreement to enhance their existing Internet Protocol-Virtual Private Network (IP-VPN) suite of service offerings.
SingTel and WilTel will now have a global MPLS IP-VPN network to meet the increasing demands from the enterprise market. MPLS -- or Multi-Protocol Label Switching -- is a technology that allows companies to send and receive data more securely and reliably.
