- Spanish Broadband Cable Operator to Deploy OpenTV's Core Middleware and HTML Package
OpenTV Corp. (Nasdaq: OPTV), a leading provider of enabling technologies for advanced digital television services, and Euskaltel, the Spanish broadband cable television network operator, announced today that they have signed a multi-year license agreement that will allow Euskaltel to deploy OpenTV's Core middleware with the HTML Package and DOCSIS. OpenTV's solution, together with an advanced set-top box supplied by UEC Technologies (pty) Ltd., will enable Euskaltel to offer its digital cable subscribers email, chat, Internet browsing, electronic program guide and interactive games services through their televisions....
