CSC Announces US$40 Million IT Outsourcing Contract Extension With UK Department of Health.

Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that the United Kingdom Department of Health has extended its information technology (IT) outsourcing contract with CSC for two additional years to 2011. CSC first began supporting the Department of Health in 2002. CSC estimates the value of the extension to be approximately US$40 Million (20 million pounds sterling).
Under the extended agreement CSC will continue to provide infrastructure and application support services to approximately 4,500 health professionals at the Department of Health in the UK.
