New research presented today at the 26th European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology Congress (EAACI) in Sweden, points to a link between 7+ year old children suffering from hayfever and reduced concentration levels during the hayfever season. The study from the National Pollen and Aerobiology Research Unit(1), commissioned by a leading hayfever treatment Benadryl, measures the impact of hayfever on children's concentration, and results show a correlation between high pollen counts (a common cause of hayfever) and poor concentration levels.
