Bush Will Take Aim At Ergonomics Rule.

The Bush administration and GOP-controlled Congress have a decent shot at undoing President Bill Clinton's controversial ergonomics regulation by invoking a never-before-used 1996 law that allows lawmakers to roll back new federal regulations.
President-elect George W. Bush and his Labor Secretary-designate Elaine Chao by law can't unilaterally repeal the final ergonomics regulation that Clinton's Department of Labor (DOL) rammed through last fall. That rule, aimed at curbing repetitive motion injuries, will require businesses to retool their workplaces to the tune of billions of dollars.
