PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local HANGZHOU IRON & STEEL GROUP CO. is currently gearing-up to build another wire mill in China. In so doing, the company recently awarded a construction contract to U.S.-based MORGAN CONSTRUCTION CO. which has already built 10 wire rod mills in China up until now.
According to the terms of the award, MORGAN will be responsible for building a mill with an installed production capacity of 350,000 metric tons per year. The factory in question will reportedly be designed to enable the production of single-strand, high-speed wire rod. Product output will consist of alloys tools and high-tensile strength quality rod.
