PROJECT OVERVIEW
In order to ensure adequate industrial land to support economic growth, Singapore has been actively promoting increased land area through land reclamation. As a matter of fact, about 16% of the nation's current land area has been reclaimed. It is thus, that the local state-owned JURONG TOWN CORP. is currently gearing-up to undertake another large-scale land reclamation project in Singapore. In so doing, it recently awarded a contract to a Japanese/ European consortium led by Japan-based PENTA-OCEAN CONSTRUCTION CO. LTD. to implement the project.
