PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The state-owned PT ANEKA TAMBANG, the second-largest Indonesian mining company, currently operates a nickel refinery with an installed production capacity of 11,000 tons per year (t/y). And, the company recently award a construction contract for a new nickel refinery to Germany-based TESSAG AG. The deal was finally concluded after the German company agreed to finance the project.

Construction plans call for building a 13,000 t/y facility. The planned complex, to be sited in the southeastern region of Sulawesi one of Indonesia's eastern islands, is expected to cost $163,000,000 to build.
