The local MAANSHAN IRON & STEEL CO. recently gained government approval to proceed ahead with its planned expansion plans. As a result, groundbreaking for a new hot strip mill is soon expected to get under way.
Construction plans under consideration call for building a complex that will include hot and cold rolling facilities. The project to be built over the next few years is expected to require an investment of $600,000,000 to complete.
