PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The US TRADE DEVELOPMENT AGENCY (TDA) recently provided a grant to the local ESSAR OIL LTD. to enable the completion of a project feasibility regarding coal bed methane (CBM) development project. As a result, ESSAR OIL subsequently retained the services of US-based ADVANCED RESOURCES INTERNATIONAL INC. (ARI) to complete the study.

CBM development is reportedly an Indian government priority. Consequently, ESSAR is proposing to proceed ahead with CBM extraction in the North Gujarat fields pending the acquisition of the needed technical information. Thereafter, the company is expected to prepare a bankable project report in order to proceed with the development scheme.
