PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local WINBOND ELECTRONICS CORP. is currently gearing-up to implement the first phase of its long-stalled chip manufacturing expansion plans. In so doing, the company is expected to initially invest $1,300,000,000 to build a 12-inch microchip plant on the Island.

WINBOND is engaged in the design and production of semiconductors involving the development of single-chip solutions with low power consumption, high efficiency as well as high capacity. Its technologies are applied in wireless communications, digital video, audio processing and data storage.
