PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local DATANG INTERNATIONAL POWER GENERATION CO. LTD., one of China's 5 largest power investment groups is gearing-up to build the Shizhu thermal power plant in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality. As things currently stand, DATANG has signed an investment agreement with the CHONGQING MUNICIPAL CONSTRUCTION INVESTMENT CO.
Construction plans under consideration call for building a power station with an installed generating capacity of 600 Mw. As things currently stand, preliminary preparations are expected to be completed by the end of 2005.
