PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local ASIAN SUPPLY BASE SDN BHD (ASB), a government-owned entity, operates as a one-stop, centralized logistic support center for oil and gas exploration, development and production activities. Over the years, the company has reportedly developed unique systems and procedures to reduce the supply base turn-around time. The complex sprawls across 108 acres that include a 15.5 acre pipe yard.
As things currently stand, ASB signed a 3-year contract with India-based OIL & NATURAL GAS CORP. LTD. (ONGC) for the upgrade and transformation of its existing Nhava supply base to international standards. The scope of the contract, of undisclosed cost, envisages the execution in 2 stages.
