PROJECT OVERVIEW:
An international consortium was acknowledged to be the low bidder regarding the supply of equipment and the construction of refineries for phases 6, 7 and 8 of the South Pars gas field development project in Iran. The partners in the tentative contract include Japan-based TOYO ENGINEERING CORP. (TEC), DAELIM ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION of South Korea and the local INDRO-IRAN.
According to the Iranian Project Director, with a bid of $1,205,000,000 the joint venture is expected to emerge as the winner of the tender. However, it must still be approved by the MINISTRY OF OIL.
