PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local EXXON NEFTEGAS LTD., the operator of the Sakhalin-1 oil and gas development project, recently awarded a construction contract for an early production facility (EPF) to the UK-based EXPRO INTERNATIONAL GROUP. According to the terms of the award, EXPRO will be responsible for the provision and installation of the facility at the Chayvo drilling and production site on the east side of Sakhalin Island, Russia.
The EPF will consist of: - A 50,000 barrel per day oil separation and pumping facility; - A 150 million cubic feet per day gas conditioning plant; - Associated utilities including plant controls, storage,
workshop and offices.
