PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The local SAUDI ARAMCO recently awarded a construction contract for offshore production facilities to 2 of US-based J. RAY MCDERMOTT's subsidiaries. Under the terms of the award, MCDERMOTT will be responsible for the fabrication, transportation and installation of the facilities. According to Robert Deason, J. RAY MCDERMOTT President & COO, the project is part of the Maintain Potential program that Saudi Aramco has developed over the last 20 years.

The 2004 Maintain Potential project comprises: - 2 new jackets; - 4 production decks; - 4 rigid and 3 flexible pipelines extending over 15 miles; - 3 submarine cables totaling 9 miles in length and anode sleds.
