PROJECT OVERVIEW:
The local ABU DHABI GAS INDUSTRIES LTD. (GASCO) acts as the operating company in Abu Dhabi that is responsible for processing associate and non-associate gas resulting from onshore oil production. And, GASCO is now gearing-up to undertake the third-phase gas development at its onshore Habshan oil field. In so doing, the company recently awarded the contract to the US-based BECHTEL GROUP.
According to the terms of the award, BECHTEL will be responsible for the provision of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services. The undertaking reportedly aims at enabling the production of: - 125,000 barrels per day of condensates; - 12,000 tons of natural gas liquids; - 3,200 tons of ethane.
