PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is expected to become a big part of the future of gas marketing in North America. As a result a Canadian/Russian joint venture finally signed a next stage agreement regarding their proposed LNG plant to be sited in Russia. The partners in the planned undertaking include PETRO-CANADA and the local OAO GAZPROM.

According to Ron Brenneman, PETRO-CANADA President & CEO, as the project moves forward his company is expected to be in an excellent position to import long-term gas supply not only from Russia but from other parts of the world as well.
