PROJECT OVERVIEW
The local OAO ROSNEFT OIL CO. currently operates an oil refinery at Komsomolsk in Russia's Far East. The plant in question processed 6.4 million tons of crude oil in 2005 and produced 444,000 million tons of gasoline, 1.56 million tons of diesel and 2.52 million tons of fuel oil. Its production mainly goes to Russia's Far East and northeast Asia.
Nevertheless according to Valery Yezhov, ROSNEFT President, his company will now invest $350,000,000 in order to boost its output of light oil products. In so doing, the yield of high-quality products is expected to be increased to 95% by 2010 from the current 60%.
