Nomura Holdings Supports Program on Alternative Investments; First Leading Corporate Sponsor for Growing Unit at Columbia Business School's Center on Japanese Economy and Business.

NEW YORK, Oct. 15 (AScribe Newswire) -- Nomura Holdings, Inc. of Japan has made a three-year financial commitment of $300,000 to support the expansion of the Program on Alternative Investments at Columbia Business School's Center on Japanese Economy and Business, under the direction of Dr. Mark Mason. The Tokyo-based financial institution will become the first leading corporate sponsor for the program, which was established in July 2002 to analyze the development of hedge funds, private equity and other alternative asset classes in Japan and the broader East Asian region.
