Price Is Biggest Gripe, According to Consumer Reports Eyeglass Retailers Customer Satisfaction Survey; Costco Receives High Marks for Price, Customer Service.

YONKERS, N.Y., Oct. 12 (AScribe Newswire) -- While 75 percent of respondents indicated they were very happy with their eyeglass purchase, only 54 percent felt the same way about the cost, according to a recent survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center.

Survey participants identified Costco as a surprising standout. The warehouse club's lens and frame combination prices were low (median cost $130), and it also scored nearly as well overall as private medical offices and smaller independent optical shops, which continue to top all categories except price.
