Samsung Announces New Rechargeable Battery.(Brief Article)

Samsung SDI Company recently announced the development of its new high-power rechargeable battery for electric automobiles that allows over 100 kilometers (about 62 miles) of travel on a single charge. This lithium-polymer battery technology offers a future alternative to our reliance on fossil fuels, said Samsung.
The battery performed better during testing, and is 30 percent lighter in weight, than similar products. The battery's design can be adjusted to fit car engines of various sizes, said company sources.
"Our development is significant in that the electro-mobile battery was developed earlier in Korea than in Japan, which currently controls 70 percent of the world's rechargeable battery market," said Samsung SDI battery development team...
