The California Fuel Cell Partnership (CAFCP) has added new partners to its team. The purpose for adding new partners is to make the group's commercialization effort for fuel cell-powered electric vehicles even stronger. The partnership formally began in April of 1999 and includes auto manufacturers DaimlerChysler, Ford, Honda, and Volkswagen. Also included in the partnership are such energy providers as ARCO, Shell, and Texaco. Other members of the partnership are Ballard Power Systems, Inc., a fuel cell company, and the California Air Resources Board and the California Energy Commission.
