DaimlerChrysler to Build Fuel Cell Buses.(Brief Article)

DaimlerChrysler plans to build 20 to 30 fuel cell city buses within the next three years and to sell them to transport operating companies in Europe and abroad. DaimlerChrysler is the first automaker in the world to sell fuel cells.

"As a result of our research and development activities the development of fuel cells for automotive applications has reached a stage where we can now offer the first vehicles to customers," said DaimlerChrysler board of management member Klaus Dieter Vohringer at a recent press conference marking the beginning of the project.
