Electric Vehicle Online Today, April, 2000
Autoweb.com a provider of automotive service via the Internet, recently announced that a Honda Insight will be placed in its new car auction area. The company said the Insight is one of several unusual vehicles that it is auctioning.
The suggested retail price of the Insight is $20,080. The car will be auctioned at a starting price of $22,000 and the bidding will continue through April 14.
The Insight is the first gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle to be sold in the United States. The vehicle is able to travel 70 miles on a gallon of gasoline and is an ultra-low emissions vehicle.
