SWRI Earns PNGV Contract.(Brief Article)

San Antonio, TX-based Southwest Research Institute (SWRI) recently announced that it has received a three-year, $26-million contract from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to provide engineering support in the reduction of vehicle emissions and improvement of fuel efficiency.
Under the Partnership for a New Generation of Vehicles (PNGV) initiative, the EPA will oversee the upcoming market for hybrid vehicles in the United States. SWRI said over the period of the contract, it will provide support for developing hybrid vehicle technologies as well as other fuel-efficient vehicles.
