Jeep SUV to Feature Fuel Cell Powertrain.(DaimlerChrysler's Jeep Commander 2 sport-utility vehicle)(Brief Article)

DaimlerChrysler recently announced that its Jeep Commander 2 will include an advanced fuel cell powertrain that makes the vehicle "virtually pollution-free while achieving double the fuel efficiency of a conventional [sport-utility vehicle]."
The automaker said the Commander 2's fuel cell is combined with dual front and rear electric motors and advanced batteries in a hybrid electric fuel cell powertrain. The vehicle produces no tailpipe emissions and is able to achieve 12 miles per gallon (mpg) gasoline equivalent.
