DOE Provides EV Funding to Federal Fleets.(Brief Article)

The Department of Energy (DOE) recently announced that it has provided $14,300 to six federal vehicle fleet operators to be used for the addition of electric-powered Ford Ranger pickups to their inventory. The six electric vehicles (EVs) will help the fleets lower their fuel consumption and lower fleet emissions in order to comply with Executive Order 13149, titled "Greening the Government Through Federal Fleet and Transportation Efficiency."

The six fleets receiving the new vehicles are Eldorado National Forest, Jimmy Carter National Historic Site, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, Kalamath National Forest, Rock Creek National Park and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service National Conservation Training Center.
