ExxonMobil Joins California Fuel Cell Partnership.(agreement information)(Brief Article)

Earlier this week, ExxonMobil Corporation became an official member of the California Fuel Cell Partnership. The company is currently collaborating with General Motors and Toyota on the development of an onboard fuel processor for fuel cell vehicles.
The fuel processor uses gasoline as a base fuel from which to generate hydrogen. The companies expect to have a prototype vehicle ready for testing within the next 18 months.
"ExxonMobil looks forward to adding our energy expertise to this important fuel cell initiative," said ExxonMobil Research and Engineering Company president Bill Innes. "Together, we can explore fuel solutions that will be environmentally beneficial as well as consumer-friendly."
